Creating Spaces for Creative Conversations
I’m a theatre-maker, educator and creative mentor based in Suffolk.
Much of my work is about creating spaces where people can think together, explore ideas and turn them into something tangible — a theatre project, a workshop, a new piece of writing or simply a fresh way of looking at a problem.
Over the past forty years I’ve worked with artists, students, organisations and communities, using theatre and storytelling as tools for creativity, reflection and connection.
Most projects begin with a conversation.

Ways I work
Developing theatre and creative projects
I mentor writers, theatre-makers and artists who want space to think through ideas and develop new work. Sometimes this takes the form of dramaturgy on a script; sometimes it’s supporting a project from first idea to performance.
Creative workshops and facilitation
I design participatory workshops for organisations, schools, universities and community groups. Using theatre and storytelling, these sessions create space for conversation, collaboration and new ways of thinking.
Community and participatory theatre
Many of my theatre projects bring people together to explore lived experience and shared stories, combining creative research, workshops and performance.
Disability Awareness
Drawing on lived experience and practice-based research, I also offer talks and workshops exploring disability — creating thoughtful spaces for dialogue and reflection.

A little about me
I’ve spent more than forty years working in drama and education — directing theatre, mentoring artists and leading creative learning projects across the UK.
My work has ranged from theatre productions and community projects to higher education teaching and creative coaching.
I now work independently from Suffolk, collaborating with artists and organisations on projects that bring creativity, storytelling and conversation together.
